My Top 5 Tips To help You Fall Back In Love With Your Home
After a long grey winter stuck inside are you feeling out of love with your home?
With the average figure for how long we spend inside our homes hitting a high of upto 80% of the day it is more important than ever to love where you live.
Here are my top 5 tips to reignite that spark of love for your home
Declutter Your Space
Sometimes, all it takes to refresh your space is to clear out the clutter. A home filled with unnecessary, duplicate or surplus items can feel overwhelming and is visually chaotic. Take a weekend to declutter, donate items you no longer need, and reorganise your most-used spaces. Challenge yourself and be strict, if you don’t use it, need it or love it then move it out of your home.
Introduce New Scents
Falling back in love with your home isn’t just about how it looks—it’s about how it feels and smells.
Making sure your home is clean, bins are emptied and windows opened to let in fresh air. Even on the coldest day a blast of fresh air will make the world of difference to your home.
In the winter candles are my favourite way to add scents to my home but make sure you choose a non toxic candle made without harmful chemicals or additives, by selecting one made from natural ingredients.
A well-rounded sensory experience can make your home feel more inviting and rejuvenating.
The Botanical Candle Co are my current favourites and have the added bonus of being local to me in the South West, you can but them online here
Beautiful candles that bring me joy
The key to falling back in love with your house is making sure it is filled with things and people you love.
Fix or Replace Broken Items
There is nothing more depressing than being surrounded by broken items. Scheduled some time to fix them and if not possible, move them on by recycling them or throwing them away.
Think twice before replacing broken items that have been hanging around for a while, if you didn’t miss it broken, do you need another one?
Invest in Small Luxuries
You don’t need a full renovation to elevate your home—small luxuries can make all the difference. Invest in high-quality bedding, plush towels, or beautiful dinnerware. These little touches can enhance your daily routine and make your space feel indulgent and special.
