For those of you who don’t already follow him on Instagram, Greg Penn aka Man with a Hammer is a renovator on a mission to restore his Georgian mansion in Plymouth to its former glory.

Taking on a 30 room, 5 storey 8,200 square foot property is not for the faint hearted and Greg himself would admit he is no expert but he has an excellent attitude and the ethos of what could go wrong (other than setting himself on fire and giving himself lead posioning of course).

For a DIYer Greg’s results are stunning and although far from finished what he has acheived so far with Admirals House is so inspiring.

The book is an excellent mix of gorgeous images, tips and detailing his journey so far.

“When you can’t look out, look up”

Whether you are contemplating a renovation or just interested in reading about Greg’s this book is an excellent read and brilliant addition to your collection.
